Teaching Experience
Although I don’t have any formal teaching experience, I have utilized
teaching and communication skills many times in my personal and
professional life. Some such cases include:
- Educating restaurant operators on environmental health issues and
working with them to resolve and prevent environmental health
issues
- Helping train new health inspectors by showcasing and walking
through various, real-life health inspection procedures
- Developing and writing laboratory standard operating procedures on
navigating a novel transcriptomic pipeline
- Presenting during weekly lab meetings
- Presenting a poster at an Arizona and Southern Nevada Branch
of the American Society for Microbiology conference, for which
I won an award for Best Graduate Poster Presentation
